The Australian Libraries Gateway currently links to a number of existing Australian library directories, eg the National Bibliographic Database (NBD), Interlibrary Resource Sharing (ILRS) Directory, Australia's oral history collections: a national directory and various image databases. Rather than integrating this information into the Australian Libraries Gateway database, the Gateway indicates which libraries have entries in these databases and then links to the main page to enable users to make full use of the search facilites of the native database.
