Sofia Heredia
On December 13, 2010, 3-year-old Sofia Heredia of Orlando, Florida,
went for a scheduled visitation with her father, Jaime Heredia Jimenez. Her
father was planning to take her to Disney World for two days and then
return her to her mother. But on December 15, there was no sign of either
of them. Her frantic mother tried to call the father, but he did not
answer. She then went to the hotel where he was staying and was told
by the front desk that he had checked out. She has not seen her daughter
since.
Sofia is now 4 years old. She is a Hispanic female with black
eyes and black hair. She was about 3 feet tall when she was abducted
and at that time weighed 35 pounds. Sofia has dimples, a scar on her
chin and her right ear is pierced.
Her mother says Sofia enjoys coloring. She is active with other children
but can be shy around adults she doesn’t know. She loves anything
Disney, especially Mickey Mouse and princesses.
Jaime Heredia Jimenez is a 30-year-old Hispanic male with black hair
and brown eyes. He is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 175
pounds. He is a fanatic about the Mexican soccer team “Chivas.” He
cleans, shines, and waxes floors for a living. A felony warrant
for Custodial Interference was issued for him on July 6, 2011.
Police are determined to find Sofia and are seeking any tips or clues that
could bring her home safely to her mother. If anyone has any information
regarding Sofia Heredia or Jaime Heredia Jimenez, please contact the National
Center for Missing & Exploited Children at 1-800-THE-LOST or visit www.missingkids.com .
