STATEMENT REGARDING DONATION
FROM GIRLFRIENDS FILMS

MAY 3, 2012

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) learned through media reports this morning that Girlfriends Films and adult entertainment performer RayVeness had announced they were making a donation in the amount of $1,000 to NCMEC as a part of a charitable giving program.

While NCMEC appreciates the interest they have expressed in protecting children from abuse and neglect, NCMEC was not consulted nor advised about the donation before the announcement was made, did not authorize the use of the organization’s name in a news release that was issued on May 2, 2012, and will not accept the donation.

NCMEC has informed Girlfriends Films that the organization will not be accepting the $1,000 donation, requested that they discontinue promoting NCMEC as a recipient of their charitable giving program, and also requested that they not solicit donations from their fans and supporters on behalf of NCMEC.  If NCMEC determines that any money received is from members of the adult entertainment industry, it will be returned.
