on the island.
Children's
Turtle Time: This program begins on June 26th at 4:00 p.m. in the
Town Hall Public Assembly and will feature crafts, stories and
activities for children ages 3 - 6. All children must be accompanied by
an adult. The program will run weekly on Wednesdays until the end of

Vehicle Decals:
The 2013 vehicle decals were distributed with the February water
bills. Please avoid
misplacing the decals, as a fee will be assessed to anyone who needs to
obtain additional decals. Any decals beyond the four issued is $10 each.
If you are a homeowner who rents their property and does not receive a
water bill, but would still like to obtain decals, please contact Town
Hall. Town staff believes this method of distributing the vehicle decals
will be beneficial to all parties involved. Contact Town Hall at (910)
842-6488 or email
reception@hbtownhall.com if you have any questions.
Cable TV
Service: ATMC has informed us that they are now taking orders from
the entire island for Digital Cable and high speed Internet. For rates

Evacuation Key Facts: The Town has compiled a list of key facts
to assist in the event of an evacuation.
Click here to read the important
information. Do not wait until an emergency!
FirstCall: The FirstCall Network allows the Town to contact
homeowners with a pre-recorded message during an emergency situation. If
you have an unlisted telephone number or cell phone, but would like to
be contacted by the service you will need to visit
http://www.firstcall.net and sign
up for the service. If your number is listed, no action is necessary.
Stranded Sea Turtles: The Holden Beach Patrol asks that
you please report any stranded sea
turtles that are observed on the beach or Intracoastal Waterway. When
the water temperature is too cold, turtles that leave the gulf stream
will likely be "cold stunned" and need assistance to survive. Please call
(910) 880-1132 or (910) 842-2030.
Town Flags: The Town now has
Holden Beach flags in
stock. You can purchase a flag for $40.
Vegetation and Sand Fence: The
Town encourages owners to vegetate their properties and install sand
fencing. This is a great way to protect your property and accumulate
sand on your dune. Please contact the CAMA officer at (910) 842-6080 if
you would like further information.
Holden Beach Renourishment
Association: The Holden Beach Renourishment Association (HBRA) is a
private, tax-exempt organization whose mission is to help fund Town
projects relating to beach nourishment. Nourishment is a many-tiered
program involving not just sand placement, but vegetation and other
proven stabilizing methods which will actually allow the beach to grow
to a healthy beach. You can assist HBRA's efforts by completing a
membership form and send them a tax deductible contribution.
