Secret Origins   (1986)
Search for 'Secret Origins' on eBay

Publisher: DC Comics

Publication Date: April 1986 - August 1990

Country: United States

Language: English

Notes:
This was the post-CRISIS attempt, in a lot of cases, to make the Golden Age origin of (mostly) minor characters make sense in a post-Crisis world. Unfortunately, there are a number of cases in which the explanations given here have served merely to make things more confusing for these Golden Age Crisis-survivors, and a lot of these stories have since been seriously retconned.

Standard format for first several issues would be to alternate from issue to issue between a Golden Age character's origin and a current hero's origin being featured. When the book's size increased, each book had one Golden Age and one Modern Age origin story.

Modern Age stories often added a new perspective on re-told origins. Or origin stories were presented to promote new comics series. Later on, this format was put aside for "Theme issues"

Alex Jay designed the logo. It appeared on issues #1-36.
