Birth anniversary: Pune temple makes 21-ft long sword weighing 500 kg as tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj

The members of Shree Nandakishor Tarun Mandal temple in Ganj Peth Pune have made a 21-ft long sword weighing 500 kg as tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on his birth anniversary. The sword will be taken out on a chariot during procession from Tambdi Jogeshwari temple to SSPMS college to mark the anniversary. Later the Sword will be donated to the PMC for beautification of a Chowk. Shivaji Jayanti is celebrated on February 19 every year.
