POLICE AIDE TELLS OF LIBYAN BID

Libyan agents tried unsuccessfully to recruit the head of the city's police bomb squad for terrorist training in Tripoli, officials confirmed today. Sgt. Arleigh McCree, head of the specialized bomb unit, reported the Libyan proposal after it was made in 1977 and the matter was not investigated, Lieut. Dan Cooke of the Police Department said.
