Delivering film via the internet is still trying to find its place right now, so please be patient when downloading a movie. Also, since many of these films are hosted on free sites (most of us are not paid to do this, after all), sometimes waiting a few minutes and coming back will resolve a downloading error. If you get a persistent error, pop into the Forum and ask away.

Keep in mind that different formats require different movie players and sometimes even encoding formats, called "codecs", to be installed on your system.

We've got a list of common codecs here on the Resources page, and links to where you can download them.

This is my first Brickfilm. It is a Music Video for the german Fun Troll Black Metal Band Trollkotze(very popular in german speeking countries metal underground), where I play the Ukulele. The light is not as good as it could have been done, but I only had my little desklamp, anyway I'm happy with the result. I hope anybody can enjoy :)

Short summary of the in the video told story in english: Grimgorg goes out of his house to buy some new boots, but on his way to the market some "Knödel" threaten him, so he pulls out his sword and they run away in fear.

The picture quality is crisp, the animation is relatively well done, and the animated action on the screen is funny, too.
What really destroys this good-looking music video is the music itsself - which is bad, because good music is essential for a good music video.
One could argue now that music tastes are different and that one cannot judge another one's taste, but my guess is that most of the brickfilm-audience won't enjoy it: It's anarchic, it's loud, there's screaming instead of singing, there's no appearant rhythm or bass which could help you to orientate yourself during the song; it's just wild and random.

Might be worth a download if you don't care about the music. You need to understand German too, if you wish to understand what's going on.

This reminded me of the "band" me and a friend (mista_conni) once had, drums and guitar only, bad songs and random screaming of weird stuff.

Personally I thought it was hilarious but there a few people as screwed up as me so you'll probably have to get your own idea of whether you like it or not.

Waaaaaaah Knödel!
