Jo Jorgensen for Vice President
"The GenX Philosophy: Many reject politics, lean libertarian" --
declared USA Today in a front-page article.
The article continued: "Generation X [is] turning to an old philosophy
that suddenly seems new; libertarianism."
"Generation X is our demographic opportunity to change American politics,"
says Jo Jorgensen, the Libertarian Party's Vice Presidential nominee.
"How can the Libertarian Party take advantage of this trend? And what do America's 19- to 30-year-olds have to offer the Libertarian Party?"
The Generation X Files
- They're 41 million strong.
- They're not liberal: "As disillusioned twentysomethings see it, Democrats have buried them under $5 trillion of debt to support social programs that have failed," reports USA Today.
- They're not conservative: "Republicans want to intrude on their private lives by censoring the Internet and arresting pot smokers," continues USA Today.
- They're Libertarian: "What liberalism was to the Sixties and conservatism was to the Eighties, libertarianism may be to the youth of the 1990s -- the de facto philosophy of a generation," concludes USA Today.
In 1996, I'm voting Libertarian. Ask Me, "Why?"
