Common Questions

Does the 1620 support Windows 95?
Yes. The 1620 supports TCP/IP and IPX Remote Access for Windows 95.

What is the maximum line loading when all 20 ports are active?
The maximum line loading with a mix of protocols is about 35 percent which is the typical maximum for interactive traffic when all 20 ports are active at 115.2 kbps.

Typical Application

A typical application for the 1620 is a remote access server in a location with a high level of traffic. While most users today have networks with a Novell NOS, many will add an NT file server from Microsoft. The 1620 can be configured to support both of these operating systems while supporting remote users at 115.2 kbps — the fastest async support generally available on the market.
