Dallas rallies with four goals

DENVER---Damian scored two goals to lead the Dallas Burn to a 4-2 come-from-behind win over the Colorado Rapids at Mile High Stadium Sunday.

The Rapids took an early 2-0 lead on a pair of goals by Adrian Paz, first on a cross from Matt Kmosko in the fifth minute, and then on a give-and-go with Peter Vermes in the 13th minute.

From then on, the game belonged to Dallas. In the 31st minute, Damian caught a pass from Mark Santel with his chest, allowed the ball to roll over his shoulder, spun and fired a shot past Marcus Hahnemann.

Damian converted a penalty kick in the 64th minute, after Steve Trittschuh pulled Dante Washington down in the area.

Washington found the back of the net for the game winner in the 73rd minute, finishing up a give-and-go with Jorge Flores. Washington began the play with a backflip to Flores. Flores touched the ball between two defenders to Washington, who had run on.

Daniel Peinado closed the scoring in the 82nd, minute sending in a cross from Temoc Suarez.
