Jeannette Harris, knowing the troubles & glories of the human heart, writes of spirit winds, moonless shadows, & calls in a suddenly quiet night, as the engines of nature torque endlessly toward a certain morning.

For the past fourteen years Jeannette has lived by the Shenandoah River near the deadend of a dirt road that winds for eight miles, amidst the forests & fields of Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, where she edits & publishes the O Shenandoah! Country Rag.
