Description

Monolith Productions has themselves a winner with this one. Shogo Mobile Armor Division is a new standard for 3D Action Games. This is the most historic, standard setting game since Doom!

Combining classic RPG with next generation 3D and movie cut scenes, Shogo M.A.D. places you in the middle of the very distant future in a very deadly, bloody war. Detailed terrain and textures, high resolution support, and a multitude of weapons are only a few of the many features you will find in this CD-ROM explosion of a game.

A word of caution, this is a high-end system game. Even in low detail, no extra features, and the minimum installation, Shogo would barely run on anything lower than a Pentium 75.

The test system for Shogo M.A.D. was an AMD K6 at 233MHz with 131 MB of RAM, a 32x CD-ROM, and the Real 3D Starfighter video card with 16MB of video RAM. With the minimum (100+MB) installation, the game still ran slower because it had to access the CD for most of the weapon and level data. With the full installation is ran much smoother and faster, but I did experience timely crashes in the game from time to time.

Overall, if you have a pretty decent, new system, Shogo Mobile Armor Division is a thriller of a 3D arcade game and it is sure to please the knowledgeable gamer.
