We need "Green Lights" in order to pay the expenses for The Monitor, the newspaper of the Maine Green Party. If you would like more info on how you can become a "Green Light" e-mail Tammy Lacher at monitor@agate.net.

We are also trying to raise funds to keep the www.mainegreens.org website on-line. If you would like to help fund the website, you can send a direct donation (email Tom Roberts at troberts@mint.net for more on how to do that) or check out our fund raising page for more information

This site, like most others, is changing and developing all the time. Steps will be taken to assure that all documents here are as "Old Browser" friendly as possible. Commentary on website technical issues can be found in comments.htm.

We now proud to announce that www.mainegreens.org has moved from its original site at Envirolink to the servers at Points South. We are now able to handle mail to the mainegreens.org domain, run listservers, allow active greens to publish directly to the website, host web forums, and that's just for starters. Points South is a local ISP that we have been able to work closely with to provide these services, a prime example of the kind of local Community-Based Economics that greens should be supporting. Local ISP's can and do provide a level of attention to detail and one-on-one service that will be lost if we allow our telecommunications dollars to be cast into the global moneypot that transnational communications conglomerates use to purchase our politicians. Make every dollar count, that's all they understand.
