Issues That Affect The Nation

Lack of A Quality Education

Education is the foundation of any great society (It is the brain).  The Constitution states that educating our children is the sole responsibility of each individual state.  The federal government should supply states with adequate resources directly allocated to assist with nurturing and developing children’s young minds.

A standardized curriculum should be established, enforced with programs that address the learning curve in local school districts. Each child should have the opportunity to receive a quality education without fear of having an inferior education because of the financial status of their district. An “Incentives Program” needs to be set-up for our teachers to reward excellence in education and the hard work of instructors. Programs should encourage diversity in career paths that introduce children to career options at an early age to address the brain drain in our country, producing more engineers, doctors, scientist and productive citizen. The security of our future rests in the hands of the well educate youth of today.

Economic Improvement Needed Now

The national economy needs strengthening. Restoration of America as a manufacturing and innovative society is key to the strengthening process. Loss of jobs to other countries, decreases in productivity, and lack of secure employment options for our citizens is causing a drain in the national economy that needs to be addressed immediately.

Tax and additional incentives should be offered to companies to bring jobs back home. Increase options for funding and additional provision of resources to the small business owner can also produce additional opportunities in local economies. The focus should return to producing quality products and services that can proudly boast "Made in America".

Working Class America Needs A Break

The Working class is the heart and soul of America. Contributions from the working class allow state and local economies the ability to fund education, build roads, and secure resources for the less fortunate in each community. America has slacked in providing benefits; beyond quality health care, the working people need tax breaks. The wealthy and corporate sectors of America should not be the only areas that benefit from the incentives and tax breaks. These incentives and tax breaks could put money back into the pockets of Americans that are a few paychecks from homelessness. The responsibility of the upswing of American economy is placed solely on the backs of working class citizens. Corporations, non-profits, and local economies would perish if the working class falters.

If corporations are given incentives to operation and tax breaks based on fiscal production, the employees, not just senior executives, should also receive the benefits. The workers should have lower health insurance costs, receive increases in salary and pay, and additional employer offered benefits should increase.

Health Care Is Inadequate

Americans suffer daily from the lack of adequate health care coverage.

The seniors that worked for years, contributing taxes to operate our country, are belittled by the offering of Medicare options that cannot cover expenses, or force them to select plans they know very little about. The working class people are scrutinized by companies trained to find ways to deny benefits, instead of trained to help the people contributing regularly to insurance costs. The benefits of insurance are slowly being pulled away and made increasingly difficult to enjoy.

Without quality healthcare and adequate insurance, the American people are one sickness, one illness, one injury from physical, mental, and emotional lifelong suffering and potentially bankruptcy. Health care should be affordable and accessible to all people.

Insufficient Support for Military Forces & Veterans

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SACRIFICES!

The United States government has a obligation take care of the active duty personnel and veterans. Allocation of resources for the military should focus on solely munitions, but should provide the necessary services to ensure the active and retired service men and women are compensated for the sacrifices they made on and off the battlefield. The people of the military made a choice to serve the country to ensure freedom and unalienable rights for the citizens of the United States are protected, the government should return the favor by protecting the benefits and pay deserving of veterans.

A full range of medical, housing, employment, and financial fitness services are needed for the active duty personnel, families of fallen soldiers, veterans and their families. Transition to civilian life serves need to be offered to ensure the service members are prepared to function in society.  The economic position of the nation should not dictate the benefits offered to active duty service members, veterans and their families.

Second Amendment Rights Need Protecting

The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution protects the rights of American citizen's to keep and bear arms. This, along with the Bill of RightsGreat Seal of the United States and other amendments and ratifications to the Constitution, is one of the things that makes America the land of free. The constitution is the foundation of rights and responsibilities for American citizens and should be protected.

Unfortunately, there are people that commit criminal acts, but that should not circumvent another person's right to protect their family. A battery of laws exist to bring to justice, anyone committing a criminal act. The consequences of breaking these laws as well as the rights given of the Constitution to the American citizen should remain equally enforceable.
