In my travels across the state, many people ask me why I have been re-elected without opposition for the past 20 years. My answer is that I am a public servant and it is my responsibility to solve problems, provide information and always treat ALL people the same. I believe that this is the role of both County Clerk and Secretary of State. Politics have absolutely nothing to do with public service. I have been re-elected for one reason only—to provide the information the citizens need and I have done this in a fair and consistent manner.

Another platform topic of great concern to the people currently working for the Secretary of State is whether they will have job security after the election. It is my firm promise to go to the capitol by myself. I plan to fill any slots vacated and observe the job performance of those left behind. It is important for Arkansans to know that I will keep my word and give those current employees the opportunity to keep their jobs.

One year ago this week I began my "City to City, County to County" campaign across Arkansas. I have visited with people from all 75 counties and asked for their votes because I am committed to serving them. A campaign takes a great deal of personal time and money. I am thankful for those who have made contributions to make my travel possible. As we near election day, every donation is deeply appreciation and no gift is too small. If you are able to make a gift of $20, $25, $50, $100, $1,000 or even $10, I promise you it will be put the best use possible. You may send a check (Click here for mailing address) or we have made it very simple to make a safe, secure donation by credit or debit card right here on my web site (Donate Now). Your gift will mean a great deal to me.

Remember, early voting starts May 3 and the primary election is May 18. I need your vote and the votes of your friends and neighbors (Volunteer). Please spread the word!

Kindest Regards,

Doris Tate
Democratic Candidate for Arkansas Secretary of State
