UIS-recommended Internet Service ProviderAn Internet Service Provider (ISP) can provide you with access to the Internet from remote locations. While most are ISP's will provide you with quality service, Georgetown has formed a relationship with IBM.net that offers special rates and/or access options for members of the Georgetown community.
Georgetown University currently holds an agreement with IBM to provide
GU users with reliable, robust connection services at educational discounts.
The educational discount is only available to current GU faculty, students
and staff. Information and an informational chart is provided below to
help you determine if the service is right for you.
*GU domain restricted resources currently include licensed database packages maintained by Lauinger Library and Dahlgren Medical Library. The Student Access+ system is not restricted to GU domains and as such is accessible through both services. **The service does not support connection to Georgetown Novell servers requiring the IPX protocol.
