I am a twenty-four year old native to Massachusetts. I have been writing for almost ten years, most actively in the past five. While writing poetry and prose ranks number one on my list of hobbies, I also enjoy exploring other creative writing and artistic expression during my free time. I express these interests vastly through personal websites on the Internet (http://www.geocities.com/soho/coffeehouse/8403) and through poetry chatrooms (Keyword: Poetry Place on America Online, for example). For the past year, my focus has actively been on the guidance and critique of amateur poets and short story writers.
I first heard of Suit101.com through the jobs link at inscriptionsmagazine.com very recently and have been a member ever since. With writing being my number one priority, I have learned you must read more than you write in order be a success. This is where educating myself through articles written in various Internet magazines and newsletters come into play for me. With the Internet providing these resources at my fingertips, I am able to visit sites, such as this one, to learn more about the craft of writing and author backgrounds. Keeping that in mind, it is easier to set specific goals for myself in terms of where I would like my writing career to lead.
