 Meltdown at Ion Storm

Dallas reporter digs out the whole story in the Daikatana debacle.

January 13, 1999

It was a long time in coming--the rumors were swirling around the gaming press; we all had a rough idea what was going on, but none of us actually sat down and did the story.

Until now.

So in the end it wasn't the gaming press, but someone from a Texas newspaper, the Dallas Observer, that did the tough legwork--did all the interviews, did all the research, acquired the documents, and pulled it all together. And it's all there, in black and white, all the dirty deals, the backstabbing, the greed, the stupidity, the debacle that is Ion Storm.

Our advice to you--read the entire article for yourself. And then ask yourself, do I even want to buy Daikatana?
