Review:
"Manu Needhi"

Story:  A virgin girl about to be married soon, becomes a rape victim, the offender being a highly-placed person in society. The hero's uncle avenges the offender, utilizing the hero in this. This is the story.

Acting: Nepolian plays the role of a high-placed person in the social hierarchy. The hero Murali, under instructions from his uncle Nassar, develops love affair with Prathiusha-- the daughter of Nepolian.Murali's performance impresses us with a great show of novelty. Teaming with Vadivelu, he has done a wondrous job of a first-rate comedian too! The all-out vigour with which Murali indulges in wordly-duel with Nassar for the sake of his (Murali's) love creates great waves in the minds of the audiences. Nepolian's unique personality is a rare combination that has both the mental stamina of the youth and the maturity of the old. Nassar's tough-mindedness aptly suits his character. Prathiusha looks like a newly blossomed flower on the screen. Accountant G.R. does his part in a satisfactory manner. Vadivelu's comedy evokes greater appreciation.

Our comment: Director J.Thambi Ramaiya has written the story and screenplay following the cinematic style of his guru director P.Vasu. The grandeur that marks the picturization makes us feel how great the co-operation extended by the producer might have been!

Music: The quintessence of the honey-like folk melodies of music director Deva enlivens the songs.
