Before

Typical of its era, this late 1970s Colonial tract house just didn't have some of the interesting features that the homeowners wanted, so changes and upgrades were planned from the time they bought the home. The master bathroom was at the top of the list of changes: it was long and narrow, plain, and offered no privacy for multiple users. There was very little closet space, and storage in general was meager.

After

The new master bathroom was extended over the home's garage, creating an additional 260 square feet and more than doubling the bathroom's size to allow for 27 linear feet of custom cherry veneer cabinets and black granite countertops. The bathroom was widened and lengthened, making the layout much more open. Modern lighting, a beautiful shower and whirlpool-style bath turned the master bathroom a modern showplace.
