announcement regarding the DCI's support of Classic Games.

Struggle, Netrunner, Rage: Across Las Vegas, Legend of the Burning
Sands, Dune, C*23, Xena: Warrior Princess or Hercules: The Legendary
Journeys, please read this announcement. |
The DCI creates
standardized rules for play and tournament reporting procedures
so your players know what to expect when they attend your tournaments,
DCI sanctioning also allows them to build ratings and rankings-giving
them local prestige and the possibility of taking their play to
the highest levels.
The DCI uses
two different methods to calculate player ratings and rankings,
depending on the type of event:
-
"Blue Events" apply to all games
which use the Elo rating system. This rating system allows players
to gain or lose points based on the strength of the opponent they
are facing. For more information about the Elo system, please
refer to Appendix A of the Universal
Tournament Rules.
- "L5R
Events" use a Point Accumulation System. This system awards
points to players based on their performance and the overall size
of the event. For more information about the Point Accumulation
System, please refer to Appendix A of the Universal
Tournament Rules.
