Mexican Roller skating President , Minu Cortes has been forced to leave the Presidency of FEMEPAR after a controversial election period.
A provisional Executive Board has been nominated to set a new period of election to cover the vacant Presidency.That was a decission taken by the Mexican Sports Council.

The second FIRS Inline Downhill World Championships will take place in Lausanne, Switzerland on September 1 and 2, 2001. The World Downhill Championships will be under the patronage of the IOC (International Olympic Committee) and it will take place in connection with the Urban Contest of Lausanne. Mr. Jerome Perakis (organizer of the Europacup and World Pro Tour, and himself an experienced racer) will supervise the development of the organization.

 Pakistan Federation Of Roller Skating is going to hold the 18th National Roller Skating Championship from 13-to 16th of April 2001 in Lahore.
Two events will be held in this championship, roller hockey and roller speed skating.
