Tantalus has over the years developed several high profile conversions and more recently, original products across several genres.

We have always been technically proficient and 2001 will see Tantalus develop several original products for the emerging platforms (Sony Playstation 2, Microsoft X-Box and Nintendo GameBoy Advance). PS2 work is currently underway.

Mary Kate and Ashley's Winners Circle

Mary Kate & Ashley's Winners circle for the Sony Playstation features these two darlings of the teenage set in a horse adventure.

  Equestriad 2001

Equestriad 2001 is a horse equestrain game for those who are serious about their horseplay.

  Mary King's Riding Star

Our first foray into the games for the 'rest of the world.' Hardcore gamers aside, Tantalus converted Mary King's Riding Star from PC to PSX, improving its speed and playability.

  South Park Rally

Farts, vomit and dildo weapons? Yes, this is the game you have heard of and couldn't stop!

Based on an original concept by Tantalus, 'South Park Rally' was developed across three platforms simultaneously in the short cycle of seven months for a Christmas release.

  House of the Dead

Incessant parades of zombie fodder for you and your lightgun.

Another major conversion for Sega of Japan. The House Of the Dead was a smash hit in the arcades in 1997, and the conversion to the Saturn was a huge success as well. The original is still a major favourite. It was a tight schedule but we managed to squeeze all those zombies into the Saturn eventually.

  Manx TT Superbike

Sega Japan’s worldwide 1996 hit "Manx-TT Superbike" was converted by Tantalus to the Win95 and Saturn platforms. This was a technical achievement considering the sheer power and speed of the original hardware and game compared to the target platforms and in particular the Sega Saturn.

  Wipeout 2097/XL

The successful sequel to the seminal original that launched a platform!

  Wipeout

Tantalus converted the smash hit Sony Playstation game to the Sega Saturn. Many, including people within Psygnosis did not think it possible on the Saturn and we earned high praise for not only getting the product to Alpha in five weeks, but for also remaining faithful to the look and speed of the original and tightening up the handling.

  Maximum Force

Tantalus converted this successful arcade game for Atari/Williams Entertainment in 1997 to multiple home formats.

Several technical hurdles had to be overcome in order to bring this game to the home, including overcoming some shortcomings of the Sony Playstation hardware that even Sony was unable to solve.

  Area 51

Tantalus converted this successful arcade game for Atari/Williams Entertainment in 1996 to multiple home formats. The Area 51 and Maximum Force series of games were the one major change from our traditional real-time 3D base. They include streaming video and light-gun support, allowing us to take advantage of our expertise in these fields and our ability to overcome technical hurdles.

  Krazy Ivan

Big fighting robots? Ahh those crazy russians! Next they'll be trying to drop a space station on our heads!

  Stargate

Based on the blockbuster movie by the same name, 'StarGate' was Tantalus' first project. Originally intended as a conversion from the GENESIS, Tantalus quickly caught the Genesis version even though it had at least a three month lead-time and proceeded to run in parallel with it and towards the end ahead allowing a simultaneous release of both!
