DANIEL
BOWEN WINS BIG AT TYEE LANES/PRO-POT GETS BIGGER
Daniel Bowen from Seattle
qualified 4th after the semi finals and won the next 4match play
games to earn 1st place ($1,000.00) and a small piece of theprogressive
pot ($1,342.00). The only reason I said small is because the
Classic Pro-Pot total for our tournament this week at Secoma Lanes
grows to$7,590.00. Daniel defeated Jong Kim in the championship
match. The scores were Daniel 179+4=183 to Jong's 137+27=164. Jong
earned $500.00 for taking 2nd place honors. Congratulations to all
5 bowlers who made the finals. Also, nice going to prepaid high
series winner Dan F. Smith +109, prepaid high game winner Aaron
Brown 276, and to Dinh Phan +106 (finalist) for winning the Friday
prepaid high series.
Daniel started bowling 18 years ago. He has been a member of ABT
for 1 year. His highest prior finish was 22nd. This time was only
his 2nd visit to the
semis, but it resulted in his first championship title. He bowls
at Majestic Lanesin Lynnwood on the 'Richest Vegas League".
He won this tournament with aColumbia Cuda 2000 ball drilled at
Leilani Lanes. When Daniel is not bowling, he enjoys boating and
fishing. With his winnings he plans to fix up his Hot-Rod ('muscle')
car. Daniel wanted to thank ABT members, Tyee Lanes, and ABT for
a great tournament. He said "I wasn't bowling particularly
good at this tournament but everything sort of fell into place.
It was great!" Daniel, who works as a truck driver, hopes he
can free up some time for our next tournament. He said he wouldn't
mind another small piece of the progressive pot. At Secoma, in the
Classic division, $5.00 invested in our pro-pot would earn him over
$1,500.00 on top of the guaranteed $1,000.00 (or higher). $20.00
in our pro-pot would earn him, or someone, over ($6,000.00). Please,
see rules for more information.
The Pacific Northwest
ABT would like to congratulate Daniel Bowen for his first ABT win.
We hope he will enjoy the championship shirt and beautiful wall
clock trophy along with his $2,342.00 cash winnings. ABT looks forward
to seeing Daniel again. ABT would also like to thank Tyee Lanes
and their entire staff for their efforts and excellent service provided
throughout the tournament.
Note: This week at Secoma
Lanes, our ABT Jacket Squad will be at Saturday10:00AM. Also don't
forget, if you do prepay and bowl on our Friday squads, high series
in both divisions earns $50.00 with the chance of an extra $100.00.
Four ABT members have already earned $150.00 bonuses. Friday 5:00PM
is the deadline for prepays. (Regency drop box is now at Hiline
Lanes.) Thanks, Jim Rash / Owner-Director.
