The video to Maxim's next single Scheming is now online and you can watch it in Real Video on http://www.playlouder.com/feature/132moremaxim
As reported in the last issue of ProCON the video is situated around a poker game and features a lesbian love scene. Also available on the Playlouder website is yet another video interview with Maxim!

Smitty of the ProCON team has been informed that Leeroy Thornhill's (aka Flightcrank) solo album is now most definitely delayed to next year and won't be released this year anymore. The next single is expected around October.
 

Spencer of the ProCON team got hold of 2 new promos for Maxim's forthcoming single 'Scheming'. He writes:

"The first is a Scheming 4 track CD-R Promo with 4 tracks:
1.Scheming
2.Scheming - Blood of Abraham Remix
3.Scheming - Zed Bias Remix
4.Prism"

The second one is an interactive CD promo, Spencer says:

"It's so cool, the promo CD is shaped like a credit card! Its really weird, but cool and also comes with like a playing Card as well, there is also a interactive Game thingy on the CD"

You might have noticed that most news in ProCON lately are about the solo projects of Prodigy members and not directly about The Prodigy. Since many of you might have only subscribed recently and are wondering what is going on with The Prodigy as a band here's a little info about what is going on with them and also the answers to some of the questions we get asked quite frequently. If you're one of the 'die-hard' fans that has been reading ProCON and nekonews from the start and check out the newsgroup daily, then you might as well skip this article.
First of all, they have not split up, and at the moment there is no sign of them going to split either. True is that Leeroy Thornhill has left the band in April 2000 to concentrate on his solo career as Flightcrank, but Liam Howlett, Maxim and Keith Flint will continue as The Prodigy. Maxim will release his solo album 'Hells Kitchen' later this year, but according to interviews he does NOT intend to leave the band and Prodigy have first priority for him.
Also we have been affirmed of the fact that Liam is actually working on the new album for The Prodigy, although many of you might remember him saying that 'The Fat Of The Land' was the last one. The next Prodigy album will be called 'Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned' and is expected to be released in the year 2001 or later.
Liam has done a collaboration with 3D from Massive Attack called 'No Souvenirs' and although it was first scheduled to be released as a single in April 2000 it has been shelved again and will now probably be released on the new album. We've heard that 'No Souvenirs' isn't likely to be the next single by The Prodigy (as many actually expect) since they don't want a collaboration as a 'comeback single'. Not much more info about the new album is available, this time Liam keeps a really low profile about it and almost no info goes out!
The only public appearance by Liam this year was at his DJ set at Fabric in London 21st July. At the moment there are no more DJ sets planned. 
The last Prodigy gig to date was in Sofia 28th August 99, there have been no gigs in 2000 and at the moment there aren't any planned either. It is expected that Prodigy will tour again once the new material is ready (probably next year) but no one really knows what the new live show will look like, there will definitely be a few changes, now without Leeroy.
