Timothy
Hutton
After
winning an Academy Award, Golden Globe Award, and Los Angeles
Film Critic's award for his performance in Robert Redford's
Ordinary People Timothy Hutton has gone on to perform
in numerous films, including Taps, Daniel, The
Falcon and the Snowman, Made in Heaven, Q&A,
City of Industry, French Kiss, and Beautiful
Girls. In Taps, Hutton received his second nomination
for a Golden Globe Award.

As a member of New York's Circle Repertory Company, Hutton originated
the role of Peter Haskins in the Broadway production of Craig
Lucas' Prelude to a Kiss. Starring opposite Henry Fonda,
Hutton appeared in the Los Angeles stage production of The
Oldest Living Graduate , which was later broadcast live
for NBC. At the Circle Repertory Company, he starred in Babylon
Gardens with Mary Louise Parker. Hutton also directed Nicole
Burdette's Busted for the Naked Angels Theater Company
in New York.
On television,
Hutton produced and starred in Showtime's Mr. And Mrs.
Loving, written and directed by Oscar-nominated Richard
Friedenberg, who wrote the screenplay for A River Runs
Through It. Also for Showtime, Hutton starred as the title
character in Aldredge Ames: Traitor Within. After starring
in A&E's Nero Wolfe: The Golden Spiders, Hutton
agreed to executive produce, direct and star in a new series
of Nero Wolfe films. The series, co-starring Maury
Chaykin, premieres in April 2001 on A&E.
Working
behind the camera, Hutton has directed a number of music videos
including "Drive" by the Cars, "Not Enough
Love" by Don Henley, and the Neil Young concert film
Freedom. He also directed an episode of
Steven Speilberg's Amazing Stories entitled
"Grandpa's Ghost," from a story he wrote.
Hutton
premiered his feature film directorial debut, Digging
to China, to an ecstatic welcome at the 1998 Sundance
Film Festival. This offbeat coming of age story starred Kevin
Bacon, Mary Stuart Masterson, and introduced Evan Rachel Wood.
This spring, Hutton will begin working on John Sayles' Gold
Coast, co-starring Angela Bassett and Edie Falco.
Hutton
currently resides in New York and is the father of a son,
Noah.
