INTRODUCTION · · · · · back to top menu

Since 1822 The Sunday Times has been at the forefront of bringing top-quality journalism to the peoples of Britain and Ireland. Since January 1996, we and our colleagues at The Times have published editions of the world's greatest newspapers on the World Wide Web.

As the first British newspapers to publish truly comprehensive Internet editions, we have taken advantage of technology by providing links from our news and feature articles to related items. We provide a comprehensive and detailed archive of material for background and research that no single printed edition could ever hope to match.

As a time-saving aid, The Sunday Times allows the busy reader the chance to delve into the background via the Back Issues facility, our drop-down archives (see home page for example), search and breaking news services.

And all this is free. We bring maximum benefit to anyone with access to the Internet: we aim to be a benchmark and an example to other organisations and businesses at home and abroad.

We hope you enjoy the unique content and the clean and uncluttered look of the site. We hope you find it useful and easy to use.

We will make it grow and evolve, and to help us improve we invite your constructive comments and suggestions.
