Denver obtained one of the top point guard prospects in NBA Draft 2001 when it received the draft rights to Omar Cook, a 6-1 guard from St. John's, from Orlando on Wednesday night. The transaction fulfilled Orlando's obligation to Denver pursuant to the trade involving Ron Mercer in February, 2000. The Nuggets also selected 6-8 power forward Ousmane Cisse out of St. Jude H.S. (Ala.) with the 47th pick.
