Document Interface (SDI)-
A Single Document
Interface program is one that opens multiple windows of itself and is
"aware" of the other windows. This is unlike most programs
that allow you to have multiple instances of the program open, but one
instance doesn't know what the other is doing.
For example, if
I have a document open in Word 2000 and then open another
one, it won't replace the current document, it will just open up a new
instance of itself. If you check the Window menu, you'll see that one
instance know that the other is out there.
