New York, NY… The Hampsterdance phenomenon has taken the world by storm. The original Hampsterdance web site has received major exposure through its use on an Earthlink commercial and is now the Hampster’s new home.

The Hampsterdance has been on the net since July of 1998 and has amassed more than 60 million visits from 153 countries. Created by graphics student, Deidre LaCarte, as part of a bet, each friend designed a web site to see who could get the most hits. Initially the site saw no activity until an E-zine noticed and told their readers. The rest is history.

The success of Hampsterdance has spawned a sequel site that has seen even more success than the original web site. Hampsterdance2.com is thriving. Hampton’s new home is interactive and will soon include many fun activities for fans everywhere.
This special 3 song EP is the only place in the world you can find the original Hampsterdance song outside of the Hampsterdance2 web site. The disc also contains two new exclusive mixes of Hampton the Hampster’s masterpiece: the extended mix and the club mix.

As well as the Hampsterdance song and CD, there will also be keychains, sleepwear and more. A cartoon series is also currently in development.
