The former Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder has played 35 NSL games for Canberra. He gained a scholarship in America and made a big impression in his first season being named captain of Soccer America magazine's All-American team and also making the NSCAA/UMBRO All-American team. But it's not just in the outdoor version that he excels - Roberts is also pretty handy at the indoor game. In fact he holds the rather unusual distinction of having represented his country at both indoor and outdoor soccer, having played at two World University Games, for the Australian schoolboys side and being a member of the Australian youth squad.
