The purpose of this web site is to provide a guide to the facilities and services provided by the Computer Support Staff (CSS) within the College of Architecture, to provide answers to many of the commonly asked questions and to provide an overview of computing policies and procedures.

The computing environment at the College of Architecture is primarily based on the Windows NT platform, however, we also have a variety of UNIX and Mac based systems. This site is not intended as an introduction to the use of these systems, and it assumes that the reader has a rudimentary knowledge of using electronic mail, Usenet news, file editing, remote access, printing, etc. If educational assistance is needed, Georgia Tech offers free online CBT training courses for all students, faculty, and staff at (CBT link) and tutorial programs are available in the College of Architecture Learning Center - Room 359a.

The College of Architecture support staff is responsible for the computing and networking infrastructure and technical support necessary to sustain all of the College's programs - instruction, research, and administration. In addition to providing many of these services directly, they also serve as liaisons with other campus computing organizations, including the Office of Information Technology (OIT), which provides computing and networking services to the campus as a whole. More complete information on OIT services and procedures is provided in a series of documents available from the OIT Customer Support Center, room 140 in the Rich Building (across the street from the College of Architecture).
