Currently at version 2.5, ThumbPrint was the first application I ever wrote on the Macintosh (unfortunately, it shows in places as well 
). ThumbPrint was designed to aid in the analysis of multilocus DNA fingerprints and makes entering in data on band positions as easy as possible. Once the bands have been entered, ThumbPrint will calulate similarity matrices and perform a few statistical analyses on the data provided. More recently, Thumbprint has been used for RAPD analysis as well. If you use Thumprint, please read the enclosed Read-Me as it sets out the shareware and citing conditions for use. I also love to hear from people who have used the software for their research so please drop me an email if you find it useful.
