Channel rolled out to ten new territories this year

Zone Vision, the London-based thematic channel producer and distributor, continues roll out of its audience-grabbing Reality TV channel (a joint venture with UPCtv) signing a deal with Romania Cable Systems (RCS) to launch the channel in the country later this month.

The platform is the second largest in Romania with over 250,000 subscribers. Reality TV's mix of action-packed, adrenaline and emotion-filled programming will be available 24 hours, seven days a week, in a local-language version to cable subscribers of RCS's basic tier of channels.

The RCS agreement follows hot on the heels of a raft of deals for the popular channel. This year alone, Zone Vision has launched Reality TV in ten new territories including the Czech Republic, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and in Poland on new platform Cyfra +, a joint venture between Canal Plus and UPC.

Reality TV now boasts a subscribership of above 10 million and is screened in around 100 countries across Europe, Africa and the Middle East with plans to roll the channel out to additional territories later this year.

Chris Wronski, President of Zone Vision said: "Reality TV is enormously popular with audiences and we are delighted with its success. We have rolled out the channel to a number of countries in Europe this year with further worldwide deals in the pipeline. We aim to make Reality TV the number one brand for real-life, action-packed programming."

There is new, emotion-filled and hard-hitting programming lined up for Reality TV in April. Headlining the schedule is Cheaters, an investigative show designed to strike fear into the hearts of those who lead a double life and cheat on their partners and thrilling new series Eye of the Storm, which features some of the most violent weather footage ever filmed.

Also in April, the cream of the LA County Sheriff's Department return to Reality TV in LA Air 5. Audiences can witness how they deal with the aftermath of extreme situations from explosions and bloody accidents, to freeing hostages and pursuing criminals. Critical Moments 2 goes further afield, covering the entire USA, to bring footage of emergency response teams in action.

Reality TV shows that life under the media spotlight is not all fun and games. Some celebrities have learnt the hard way that they're subject to the same laws as the rest of us and each episode of new series Hollywood and Crime focuses on a star who has fallen foul of the law and had to face the consequences.

In addition the April schedule continues with old favourites like Coppers, Outrageous Vacation Videos and Chef's School and there are brand new episodes of Little Miracles, Curtis Court and Weird Wheels.
