Cheltenham sack Allner
Graham Allner
Allner has only won nine league games at Cheltenham
Cheltenham Town have sacked manager Graham Allner and his assistant Mike Davis.

A run of bad form has seen the Robins slide to 23rd spot in the Second Division.

And just one point separates them from bottom club Huddersfield.

The club's board stated: "We no longer have the confidence that Graham Allner is the man to keep Cheltenham Town in Division Two."

Allner took over from Steve Cotterill as Robins boss in May 2002.

But he was only able to guide the side to nine wins from 33 games.

Players Chris Banks and Mark Yates, along with coach Bob Bloomer, are in control of team affairs while the search for a new manager begins.
