EO Interest Document
Last updated September 11, 1995.
Welcome to the EO Interest page. This page is for those interested in EO
Personal Communicators and related devices. Because of the platform we also
have an interest in PenPoint.

Notes On This Document
I need material for this resource. You can send just about anything you think
is relevant. This includes stuff about the machine itself, batteries,
applications, PenPoint, the future of pen devices. This material can be either
text files, uuencoded-zipped PenPoint documents, PenPoint documents (just plain
binaries), pictures (gif, jpeg, tiff), real-physical-paper mail, or even
floppies. I don't want useful stuff to disappear now that EO has. I am still
using my EO every day and intend to do so until it just croaks or something
as capable comes along.
These pages will lean towards the EO 440 and my experiences.
What's Next?
I'm working on the EO block diagram so that you can click on a subsystem and
get a block diagram of that subsytem. I'm adding tips on running your EO as a
solid-state machine, RAM disk, and disassembling your EO. I disconnected my
hard-disk and bought a 40MByte Flashdisk with the hope of extending my battery
life. I also have a list of bugs and I'm actively collecting software. I
intend to add a section listing the options as I see them to replace the EO.
I added Jerry Kaplan's book; Startup: A Silicon Valley Adventure
Sections I'd like to add:
- List tools like like to use every day. The Cerda minimal set.
- Put documentation list item.
- add ut gopher site
- mail-in comment form.
- Tips, hints, and notes.
- Documentation; Cerda & EO.
- Nigel's PDA charts, one with EO, and latest.
- Bugs and weirdnesses.
- Wish List (good for Christmas if there is a Santa Claus).
Jerry Kaplan - Thank you for sharing your dream. It has made a difference in
the way I work every day.
