Joe Strauss
September 13, 1975- May 12, 1996
Joe Strauss, a 20-year-old soccer player and great all around person was killed in an automobile accident on Mother’s Day in 1996. He was a passenger in a car driven by someone who was underage and intoxicated.
Since Joe was a passionate soccer player, we created the Joe Strauss Invitational Tournament and Joe Strauss Foundation in his memory to support his hometown soccer program and to combat underage drinking.
The Foundation was established on January 1, 2002 with the purpose of funding youth soccer, providing scholarships and to fund preventative and awareness programs to combat underage drinking.
