News: 16 june 2003 - A new short film is now made public - "il est midi". It's a music video done for a small contest for the British singer Cerys Matthews. The results of this contest have not yet been announced, but I didn't want to wait any longer with the release. Head for the films section now! 8 april 2003 - Yellowhead Studios can now be found from www.yellowhead.nl. Update your links and bookmarks!4 april 2003 - Sadly, there's next to no news. The voices for the extra few minutes for A Christmas Carol have been sitting on my hard drive for several months now, but I have not found the time to actually film. 21 january 2003 - BrickShelf is back, but still a bit slow. 20 january 2003 - Several things to mention, let's list them:
24 december 2002 - A Christmas Carol In Bricks is finally done! And just in time for christmas, too. Go here to see it, or head for our films section.
Merry Christmas, everyone!22 december 2002 - A Christmas Carol In Bricks is very close to completion. Expect it at Tuesday, 24 december. Be sure to come back! In the mean time, go here to get an idea of what it will look like. 25 september 2002 - It's about time I updated this site, after so much has happened. A new YellowHead film, Animation Class, has been filmed and is ready for download on the films page. This film has been turned into a project, where several experienced directors will show the basics of animation. Read all about it here and see who are working on it here. 26 june 2002 - BrickShelf, the current host for the films, has changed its structure, and now requires every file to be verified by a moderator before it will be available. Until the moderators have gone through their immense task, the YellowHead Studios films will be unavailable for viewing. For further questions, check out the BrickFilms forum. 16 june 2002 - Are you looking for a voice for your film? Wanderer's voice is available (in reasonable amounts) for that. Hear it here. 7 may 2002 - A new program, Scroller, was released. It is used to simplify the creation of end titles and credits for films. Download it from here. 17 april 2002 - The Brickies, an annual award show for LEGO animations, has been set up for the first time. "The Barber of Seville" was nominated three times. For more information, visit The Brickies Website. 7 april 2002 - BrickFilms is back online! That's good. The Historical Fiction Contest is over now. We were nominated in the category Best Animation, but didn't win. While we regret that, we are more than happy, to have been nominated amidst the excellent quality of the other entries. Great job, everyone! And great job, BrickFilms, for organising it! Thanks a lot. 24 march 2002 - On a day we're supposed to have no time, there are two updates! The bluescreening program can now be found here. Good luck with it! 24 march 2002 - Moved all films but the screen tests to BrickShelf, to make space for Wanderer's bluescreening program "Blue Screen Of Life", that will experience its pre-release later today. BrickFilms is down at the moment, but is expected back in business in a few days. 27 february 2002 - The last few months have been quite confusing. YellowHead said they were going to enter the BrickFilms Historical Fiction Contest, then YellowHead was not entering, then it was discovered that other competitors (Tjeerd & Stephen) had the same idea, then these competitors went out of business (Tjeerd broke his arm), and finally YellowHead decided to enter anyway, but with another idea. The end of all this confusion? Our new film: "Great Inventors Part 1: The Wheel. 24 december 2001 - YellowHead Studios wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! See our short season's greetings animation here. See you all in a new year, in a new Brickfilms contest! 4 november 2001 - A few links added to the links page. 19 october 2001 - Great news today! Yesterday was the awards ceremony of the Classical Movie Contest organised by BrickFilms. And gues what? We won!"The Barber of Seville" was found to be the best overall film, from a selection of 10 outstanding masterpieces.YellowHead Studios want to express their thanks to Jason for organising this contest, and for having an excellent site to serve the LEGO animation community. We also want to thank our fans, who have voted en masse for our film in the poll before the decisions were made. And finally we want to thank our fellow contestants, who made this an interesting contest, and gave Jason and Jared a very hard decision. 14 october 2001 - There have been several rumours about new films being made by YellowHead Studios. This is what - at this stage - can be confirmed: No filming is going on, but there are several ideas for new films (some of them existed even before "The Barber" was started), mostly in various heads, but some of it has been written down, and some new LEGO sets have been bought (the first in many, many years). 6 september 2001 - The problem with The Big Chase has been solved, I remembered having some 25 MB of webspace on an extremely fast server. So it can be downloaded again! 31 august 2001 - I feared it, and it happened: free web space providers don't like large films, and so The Big Chase was removed from prohosting. I have put it online at Crosswinds, but that connection is very slow. For the moment, it is best to watch The Barber of Seville, or ask us to send it directly to you over ICQ (see Contact). 31 august 2001 - Last week we have been filming our entry for the Brickfilms Classical Movie Contest. Our film is now ready and online, so go and see it in the Film section! 12 august 2001 - We found new web space at prohosting, so now "The Big Chase" is online. Go to our films section to see it! 12 august 2001 - We've been too optimistic. The space we had on our website was smaller than expected, so "The Big Chase" didn't fit. Compression programs crashed frequently, so we're still trying to make the thing smaller. 11 august 2001 - Site first online. Film "The Big Chase" and short clips online. |
