LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003

Wednesday's finale of "The Bachelorette" didn't approach the monster ratings of "Joe Millionaire's" final episode, but it did well enough to give ABC a win in primetime.

For the night, ABC averaged an 11.0 rating/17 share. FOX, 9.4/14, finished just ahead of NBC, 9.3/14 (the margin was wider in total viewers). CBS was fourth at 6.5/10. UPN averaged 3.9/7 in the metered markets, beating The WB's 3.2/5.

ABC earned a narrow victory among adults 18-49, averaging a 7.9 rating to FOX's 7.8. NBC posted a 4.7 and CBS a 2.9.

The first hour of "The Bachelorette" averaged 11.9/18 at 8 p.m. FOX was second with "That '70s Show," 7.5/12, and "American Idol," 8.6/13. "Star Search" returned to CBS after a brief absence and finished third, wit NBC's "Ed," 6.2/10, in fourth. "Enterprise," 4.5/7, gave UPN fifth place. The WB aired a two-hour "Birds of Prey" movie/series finale (3.2/5 average from 8 to 10 p.m.).

At 9 p.m., "The Bachelorette" improved to 14.3/21 as Trista Rehn chose firefighter Ryan as her guy and he proposed. FOX stayed in second with "American Idol: The Best of the Worst," 10.7/16. NBC moved up one spot with "The West Wing," 8.4/12. CBS was fourth with "60 Minutes II." UPN kept the No. 5 spot with "The Twilight Zone," 3.3/5, while "Birds of Prey" trailed.

"Law & Order," 13.2/22, put NBC in first place at 10 p.m. The premiere of "I'm a Celebrity -- Get Me Out of Here!" averaged 6.9/11 for ABC, while "48 Hours Investigates" scored a 6.4/11 on CBS.
