KDE Developer's Corner

Welcome to the KDE Developer's Corner website. The site has a home on the KDE web server thanks to Martin Konold. Thanks also to the others who offered their own web space.

This site is intended to be a directory of everything to do with KDE development. If you're looking for information about downloading or using KDE, then you should probably look at the main KDE website at www.kde.org instead.

Browse through a development category:

  • Documentation
Tutorials, library documentation, FAQs, Bugs, includes information about developing for KDE.
  • Retrieving the source
Access to up to the minute sources, daily source snapshots, and the online CVS.
  • Building the source
Information on compiling and installing KDE from its source code.
  • Development versions
Find schedules for upcoming releases and tentative feature plans.
  • Development tools
Everything you need to equip yourself for KDE development.
  • Language bindings
In addition to native C++, you also have several other programming languages to choose from.
  • Join the developers
Find out what the developers are talking about and the forums for discussing different topics.
  • Policies
    Policies for KDE development.

Now that the site is driven from the CVS, those with write access should feel free to add documents or links, those without it can mail links etc. to me. If you have already written a document and are willing to place it in the CVS please feel free to add the document itself (preferably making the CVS version the master copy). Please don't send me large mails without warning.

If you would like to help run this site then please get in touch. Especially welcome would be those who would like to contribute articles, tutorials etc. though we have nothing to offer you in exchange except thanks.
