Both guns blazing -- League of Women's Voters, Common Cause
Both have taken a stance AGAINST voter-verified paper trails.

What you can do (please help) Enter contact information for both local and national contacts at these two organizations. It's easy: Go to BBV Contacts and add your information there.

On Monday, we will launch a re-education campaign with the national offices of both organizations. If they are not responsive, within a few days, we will launch a grass roots campaign with every local branch in the U.S.

There are many things we could be doing. Changing the minds of even one of these two groups is, in my opinion, the quickest way to start a big ball rolling down hill, and it will also remove one of the key impediments to Rush Holt's bill in congress: Excuses for congressmen who vote the wrong way.

Computer guys: The forum is being populated with more meat and potatoes than ever. Add your comments anywhere, let us know what you need for your own investigations.

Expose on Hacking Diebold Voting Program

If you are here, plan to get involved!!
This is a site for people who want to take back democracy.

We have a problem: Someone took away our right to verify our votes; a national bill, the inappropriately named "Help America Vote Act" (HAVA) is throwing $3.9 billion at states to get them to buy new voting machines, and these electronic voting machines are not being properly audited.

Now, what can we do about it? I'm quite tired of people who sit there waiting for someone else to fix this problem. Our founding fathers fought and died to give us our democracy, but never did they promise to be democracy's caretakers forever. They turned that crucial job over to US.

This site is quite new. It is designed to focus our efforts so we can make our vote count. I can't do it all, so you are empowered to go in and add calendar events; add documents you find to the searchable library so that others can have them too; contribute your own analysis of the computer code that counts our votes.

Most importantly, I ask you to join in and take action, doing whatever comes naturally to you, but DO SOMETHING, for the activism targets.

Activism target right now:

Two key organizations need to be re-educated so they can get on the right side of this issue. This is urgent: NJ Rep. Rush Holt has put forth a bill in congress to mandate a paper trail, eliminate risky remote communications into computerized voting systems, and require more robust auditing.

One of the main obstacles to the success of this bill is the mistaken positions taken by the League of Women's Voters and Common Cause, who have come out AGAINST voter-verified paper trails.

We need to get these two groups onto the right side of this issue as quickly as possible. Post their contact information into the forum; tell us what YOU are doing to change their minds.

Let's get on this right now. Black Box activism target: Get League of Women's Voters and Common Cause to insist on a paper trail and back congressman Holt's bill!
