Office of Information Technology

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) was created in 2001 to provide direction and strategic planning for the University of Florida in information delivery and computing standards, resources and management. An advisory structure consisting of the main Information Technology Advisory Council (ITAC) and several subcommittees (Network Infrastructure, Academic Technology, Information Security Management, Data Infrastructure & Administrative Computing, and High Performance Computing) has been established to bring together the IT leaders on campus to participate in technology visioning, planning, and problem solving.

High Performance Computing Survey Released

A survey was prepared by members of the Information Technology Advisory Council - High Performance Computing (ITAC-HPC) committee chaired by Alan George. The survey is designed to measure the demand at UF for HPC resources and services, and to provide a mechanism for your feedback and assessment. Please take a moment to complete the survey.

IT Strategic Planning Committee Releases Final Report

This report is the first result of the strategic effort to align IT resources with the University mission. This on-going process has involved a broad range of individuals from the university community and the ITAC advisory structure. It has included a review of peer institutions, white papers, and discussions among ITAC committee members, faculty, staff and students. more»
