ToB Patch & Some Site Updates
|January 23, 2004, 08:32:12 AMby
|The ToB patch 2.1.2 is now hosted with us since MacGameFiles aren't going to fix their download link. So for any of you having problems getting hold of the latest patch, i'll try and keep it updated.
Note: Link removed because we were slammed with people downloading and it killed our bandwidth. Sorry Folks
Secondly there have been a few updates to the featured mods page, with Kelsey, Dungeon Be Gone, and the Flirt Packs having been added.
The portrait page has six new Legolas portrait sets added, and i'll be making some more portraits over the next week.
Lastly there have been a few additions to the customs forum, so check them out.

9 Jan 2004 - IRE SE available and custom forum
|January 09, 2004, 06:03:41 PMby
|This is an app-only build so if you haven't downloaded IRE before, you need to download it then replace the app with the special edition version of the app...
I'm releasing it because it adds two features that some will find useful, namely the ability to update effect DATs (which are the files that tell you what effects do and describes there parameter) off the web and syntax highlighting in both editors. These additions also lack a certain amount of polish but should do the trick for those so inclined to live on the edge a bit.Without further ado...Here's the
OS 9 version and the glorious
OS X Version
also i did some rearranging of the Customs Forums where you can browse our modest collection of mods.

3 Jan 2004 - As promised: New IRE and stuff :)
|January 03, 2004, 01:56:58 PMby
|Infinity Resource Editor version 2.1.0 is released today and it sports an honest-to-god new feature never seen before in IRE: an external effect editor that let's you add that +1 vs ogres (as well as other things) and also sports a different look for the internal effect editor... Please vote for which you like better in Features request forum poll. The version history is found below and you can download it on the Betas Page
Also, for the RealBasic users out there the latest version of Infinity Engine Tool Suite is available containing all the goodies implement since d8.
Version History for 2.1.0:
- Implemented the EFF editor
- Corrected a bug where if you changed a parameter's value in the standard effect editor then switched to the other parameter the value wouldn't take.
- Corrected a bug where if you changed a kit restriction in the item editor IRE would crash
- fixed several visual glitches
- Add a TBG patch completion dialog for clarity
- corrected a bug where if used the Patch Individual TBG menu item wouldn't offer to replace a file if the same named file was already in the override folder.
- changed the default to Sort Resources by File Name in preferences hopefully that should clear up some confusion
- Corrected a bug where IRE would tell you that the Save was successful even when it wasn't
- Added a Edit Resource button to the effect editor... This is implemented across editor's where there's a resource field. For unknown resources a window will popup that will allow to select the resource type.

probably wondering what we here at Team MacBG are all about.
Quite simply, it's this:
work on expanding the possiblities for Infinity Engine Games
like Baldur's Gate, Shadows of Amn, Icewind Dale, and hopefully
other titles as they become available. To that end we invest
in a two-fold strategy. Work on conversions of major mods
our PC brethern at TeamBG
release and to develop tools to help us cooperate with mod
teams or make our own if we so choose. Also our less lofty
goal (well, DevArrah's at least) is to also release the
finest saved game editors for the mac so you can get over
the hump of any gaming situation (or in Dev's case cheat
like a mofo). We don't encourage cheating or use of our
tools in multiplayer though. We are all fans so if you have
some talents you feel you can offer to the community contact
us and offer, it's the way we'll grow stronger. Whether
it be from contributing some custom items to writing a tool
to help with development of mod, the more help the merrier.
The contact link above will
get you in touch with us.
Also, we are an ever growing community of fans of these
games and so we also a provide forums
where people congregate and chatter on topics ranging from
the silly to the profound. So kick back set up a tent in
the base camp and enjoy our little community.
