greasy joan welcomes new artistic director
In the Spring of 2003, greasy joan & company made the exciting shift from a collective ensemble to a company with an Artistic Director, Julieanne Ehre, at the helm. Ms. Ehre directed Jose Rivera’s Marisol for greasy joan last winter and has directed professionally for Curious Theatre Branch, Chicago Dramatists Workshop, Strawdog Theatre, the Rhinoceros Theatre Festival, and others. She directed and produced Arthur Kopit’s Wings, and assisted Mary Zimmerman on the Broadway transfer of Metamorphoses. Ehre serves as adjunct faculty at both Columbia College and The Theatre School at DePaul University and will also teach a course in Performance at Victory Gardens Training Center this winter. She holds an M.F.A from Northwestern University where she studied with Robert Falls.
