Codename Gordon: Over 600,000 Gamers Strong, and Growing

Codename Gordon, a side scrolling adventure through the Half-Life universe, has been requested and played by over 600,000 Steam customers since its release just three weeks ago.

"The ability to reach this many gamers almost overnight is amazing," said Tim Bruns, art director at Nuclearvision. "Having built a wide installed base for the game through Steam, we can now collect user feedback, integrate that data, and distribute new Codename Gordon content to gamers very soon."

Created by Nuclearvision Entertainment, Codename Gordon takes players through dozens of levels inspired by Half-Life and Half-Life 2, challenges players to a slew of puzzles, and showcases many of the familiar creatures in an all new, 2 dimensional playing field.

We just wanted to say thanx to everyone for the great feedback we've received regarding the game =o) .. We never expected the game to be this successfull.

We've started work on a small update consisting mainly of bugfixes. I am also trying to improove the performance as much as possible. So another thank you to everyone that posted bugs. They helped us a lot.
We aren't going to add any new features, although we might make a second BonusGame .. but that's no promise .. if we have a good idea that isn't too complicated we will put it in (please no mails with game ideas .. if you want to suggest something you can do so on the board)

ITS DONE! .. You can now download AND!! Play C:G from STEAM!

When you start you Steam-Clients for the next time, you'll find Codename: Gordon in the Games/Coming Soon-Section.

This mean, that you can download C:G from now on but can't play it until VALVe fully releases it. So if you'd like to be one of the first to play C:G, fire up Steam and preload the game.

Yes it's true, a lot of sites have reported it and we can confirm that C:G is going to be released via Steam soon.
Everybody can play it, regardless of wether you own Half-Life, or not.
