Charter and By-Laws
ICNA's operational procedures and processes are governed by  documented Charter and By-Laws. The goal and program are defined in the Charter and By-Laws document and are based upon the guidance from Quran And Sunnah.

O ye who believe! Let not some men among you laugh at others: It may be that the (latter) are better than
the (former): Nor let some women laugh at others: It may be that the (latter are better than the (former): Nor defame nor be
sarcastic to each other, nor call each other by (offensive) nicknames: Ill-seeming is a name connoting wickedness, (to be used
of one) after he has believed: And those who do not desist are (indeed) doing wrong.

O ye who believe! Avoid suspicion as much (as possible): for suspicion in some cases is a sin: And spy not on each other behind their backs. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? Nay, ye would abhor it...But fear God: For God is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful. (Al- Quran 49:11-12)


Any Muslim brother or sister can become a member of ICNA if he/she agrees with our goal and program.

The expectations from all members are as follows:

  • Study Quran daily with understanding.
  • Study Hadith or Seerah at least once a week.
  • Study Islamic literature according to the syllabus.
  • Spend a minimum of 4 hours a month on any of the following: Dawah to non Muslim (Dawah Field Trip, Prison dawah Trip, Dawah Response through Mail or Phone)
  • Invite at least 2 persons to become ICNA members in a year
  • Decide on some minimum contribution to central baitul-maal.
  • Invite at least one Muslim every week to come to the Masjid or start praying

Executive Council
Executive Council is a smaller body available to Ameer of ICNA to help make important decisions. Five members of Executive Council are appointed by the Ameer of ICNA with the consultation of Majlis As-shura. The current members are:

  4. Dr. Mohammad Yusufuddin
  5. Br. Abdul Qayyum Mufti

Ameer of ICNA presides the Executive Council.

General Assembly Membership
Any Member can become a member of General Assembly when he/she shows the commitment and dedication while working with ICNA. In addition to suggestions for all members, the General Assembly members are expected to do the following:
  • Spend a minimum of 2 hours a week (8 hours a month) for Dawah to non-Muslims.
  • Spare 24 hours per week for a productive Dawah time with a Muslim contact.
  • Spare at least 4 hours per week for ICNA work, non including meetings.
  • Make at least one new member General assembly every year.
  • Pay Zakat (if qualified) to central Baitul Mal.
  • Attend all ICNA activities unless prior permission from Ameer is received.

Majlis Ash-shura
Every two years on an odd year, Majlis Ash-shura (Consultative body) gets elected.The number of members varies and depends on the number of members in General Assembly.
Secretary General is the member of Majlis Ash-shura by virtue of responsibility. Current Members are:
