YOU'VE GOT YOGMAIL!!!

Notes:
1. YM is switching over to one sending time now, so Europe and the rest of
the non-Americas world will not get the 8 hour jump it used to get. Sorry.
2. I have no idea of exact current membership, but I know there's at least
50 people on each of the 6 membership lists.
3. YM now goes out on even days.
4. In advance warning: YM WILL NOT SHUT DOWN for Christmas, so if you're at
college and will be home for the holidays, let me know so I can stop sending
it, and you can get the back issues upon your return.

AND AWAY WE GO...

Does anyone know if I can get George's old singles like Father Figure,
Monkey, Too Funky & Freedom in Australia? Are these singles available in cd?

(I know I got Too Funky on CD here in Canada, but about the others I have no
idea. Should you find multiples of any others, please let me know. AG)

Does anyone know the total sales for Older? The last time I heard was 6
million.

(Who's read a Billboard lately? Or called the RIAA? AG)

And lastly I would like to say Freedom by Robbie Williams sounds yukkie.
Boy, he cant sing at all can he? I bought that cd but it's a waste of me
money.

(Maybe he'll even grace the MTV Euro's with his rendition... AG)

Anyway, good job amanda. Many things to say but little time to say it.

(Thanks, and I know just how you feel! AG)

Yours Truly,
ann chai

I would like to know why the new single from Spinning the wheel with three
new songs on it, haven't been released in the United States but was released
in Australia. I'm a HUGE fan of George Michael.

(North America was deemed to be unlikely to produce a hit, so the song wasn't
released. AG)

Hi all, and thanks AG and everyone else for the lovely collaboration of
'Yogmail'.

(Good point, for all the work I do, you guys are just as important for all
you post! AG)

I'm a bit curious to know if there are any kind souls out there who'd be
willing to dub a copy of 'any' of George's live performances. Unbelievable,
yes I know, however, In my 24 sheltered years, I've never once been to a
single concert let alone to one of this beautiful-voiced talent, GM's, and I
would love to hear/see him do what he does best live. I'd be willing to pay
for the trouble of anyone whose willing.

(I think your best bet is to get copies from people with them on CD. Can
anyone help him out? AG)

Thanks all and keep up the wonderous works...Tog

this category will be selected by viewers during a special Select MTV Weekend

Europe's favourite 100 videos being compiled and then reduced, by viewer
votes, to the five nominations for The MTV Europe Music Awards

Dear Amanda:
Hi!! First, thank you for creating YogMail, I love checking my e-mail
for news on George!!

(You're very welcome! AG)

Second, please mention in the next issue-special thanks to Elena S. Mavros
and Lisa and Mark-for sending me the back issues of YogMail, it is very
appreciated!!

(My thanks to Elena and Mark and Lisa too! AG)

Third, I bought the Red Hot And Rio CD and George sounds great, I just wish I
understood what he is saying. I looked at the words on the CD booklet, but
it isn't the same, since I don't understand the language. But anyway, George
just got another vote by me for being extremely talented(speaking
Portuguese), not an easy language to speak!!

(I know limited amounts of Portuguese, and can agree it's not easy. AG)

I am looking for a copy of Spinning The Wheel, as I have given up on MTV
showing it anytime soon, unless they show it to promote the Unplugged show?!!

(I have it on tape, but just can't seem to have any luck in doing any dubbing
lately!! I will get to it though. You've given me your address, so I'll put
you on the list if you'd like. I'm currently asking for $10--for a tape,
padded mailer and postage, and any change will be returned to you. You can
also send a tape and $5--same deal change will be returned. AG)

BTW, he looked great on the Week IN Rock on MTV, I did not care for the
glasses he had on though, but at least when he is singing on the Unplugged he
won't have them on!! Can't wait for the show!!

(Yeah, those shades were a bit less than attractive. He really has to stop
taking Elton shopping with him... AG)

Hi, Minh-

I highly recommend I'm Your Man, which is a bootleg by Backstage that
includes songs from the C to C tour. The quality in sound is really good,
however, some of the songs are slightly chopped at the beginning or end. I
don't have Praying for Faith, but do have Music Road, which is almost
identical to I'm Your Man. The songs included are: Papa was a Rolling
Stone, Father Figure, Fame, Ain't No Stopping Us Now, Back to Life,
Everything She Wants, Ain't Nobody, Careless Whisper, I'm Your Man and
Freedom.

Have fun!

Kelly :)

Hi fellow GM fans (and WHAM! fans)

I live in England and I had to sit here listening to people winning
tickets live on the radio to see the MTV unplugged with GM - at a
SECRET location somewhere in London - IT WAS PAINFUL!!

The next day, I heard some reports from a Deejay who was there -

He said: GM was BRILLIANT (surprise..)

He even did his "voice warm up" exercises in front of the crowd
complete with jokes which kept the crowd amused.

Then, in the middle of one of his songs he stopped because he didn't
like how he'd done it and started again!!

They're showing it on MTV Europe on December 11 - would it be the same
for you guys ? Best to check the MTV Website!!!!

(As we now know, the US air date has been changed to the 10th. AG)

This is old info but there may be people who have never heard it....

GM did an interview over here in England (when I WANT YOUR SEX came
out), and he told of how in the WHAM! days, he and Andy R used to have
a stage routine:

They kept shuttlecocks (is that what you call them in the USA?) down
their shorts (!), and halfway thru the show, they'd take one out, run
it down their sweaty arm (in a sultry way), and then throw it into the
audience.....

Someone out there must have these shuttlecocks!!!!!

(I've heard this story. And somewhere, I have a picture of George onstage
with a badminton raquet. AG)

Hi Amanda!

I e-mailed EQS (EQS1999@AOL.com) regarding the upcoming UK Interview picture
disc with book which Alan mentioned in Issue #36 and was told that the
release date is November 18th. So, we have yet another thing to look forward
to in the coming months.

(Wow, George is just being too co-operative. You think maybe he still cares
about us? AG)

Take care.

I am not sure if I remember this right or not, but I read that you were
sending out dubbings of the STW video? If so, could you put me on your
massive list for it. (If not could you let me know who was doing it?) Just
let me know the cost etc. and it will be on the next plane out to you.

(Yes, it's me, the details are somewhere above. AG)

Thanx

To Wrap it Up:

Just a couple quick notes:
1. My thanks to Frank for his wonderful gift. The picture's great, and so is
the frame. Regrettably, the glass broke, but all is still well. Taken at an
airport I presume?
2. My love and thanks to Alicia for the Star Hits magazine. Wow! Reading a
magazine from 10 years ago made me feel like a little kid again!!! I just
wish there had been a Wham! pin up... Oh well, the Bananarama one will do.

Listen without prejudice...

OK all, other duty calls
