DIRECTOR'S LETTER - December 2004:

The latest member and co-worker letter from Regional Director, Gary Moore is available online. In his letter, Mr Moore draws our attention to subject of giving within the Church context. He writes:

"The use of money and giving is discussed in numerous passages of scripture. Paul frames the issues related to Christian giving very clearly in 2 Corinthians 9:6-8. The giving he is describing here involves sharing with other Christians who are in need. In this passage, Paul stresses three key principles. Firstly, giving should be generous. Secondly, it should be planned, and not be done as a result of coercion or unreasonable guilt. Thirdly, such giving will result in God's blessing on the giver."
