    NEW YORK, Nov. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- GLAMOUR magazine's Editor-in-Chief Cindi
Leive and Vice President and Publisher Suzanne Grimes announced today the 14th
Annual GLAMOUR Women of the Year honorees.  The 14th Annual GLAMOUR Women of
the Year Awards, exclusively sponsored by L'Oreal Paris, honor extraordinary
and inspirational women from a variety of fields, including entertainment,
business, sports, music, science/medicine, education and politics.  The awards
will take place Monday evening at the American Museum of Natural History in
New York City.
    The 2003 Women of the Year honorees include:

    Britney Spears -- Pop star turned power icon who recently founded The
Britney Spears Camp for the Performing Arts on Cape Cod, creating
opportunities for underprivileged youth to experience the arts.  Award
presented by Kelly Ripa.

    Jessica Lange -- Two-time Academy-Award winning actor whose work as a
UNICEF goodwill ambassador in the Democratic Republic of Congo made her an
outspoken witness to the violence against women and children in the
war-ravaged country.  Award presented by Liam Neeson.

    Dr. Julie Gerberding -- The first female director of the Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, she ensures that Americans get the
protection they deserve.  Award presented by Anna Deveare Smith.

    Lynne Cox -- World-renowned swimmer whose record-setting feats bridge
gulfs between nations.  Award presented by Arthur Sulzberger, Jr.

    Laura Hillenbrand -- Best-selling author of Seabiscuit and long-time
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome public educator -- a disease she herself is living
with.  Award presented by Nora Ephron.

    U.S. Army Private Jessica Lynch and U.S. Army Specialist Shoshana Johnson
-- Honored on behalf of all our nation's servicewomen and sharing their award
in particular with their fallen friend -- U.S. Army Specialist Lori Ann
Piestewa -- the first U.S. servicewoman to die in Iraq.  Award presented by
Diane Sawyer.

    Twyla Tharp -- The artist and visionary whose choreography, books and
honors have dazzled and enthralled audiences for four decades. Award presented
by Bebe Neuwirth.

    Gloria Feldt -- President of Planned Parenthood for the last 8 years, she
has led the fight for women's reproductive rights, health, safety and choices.
Award presented by Sarah Michelle Gellar.

    Vera Wang -- The style-force entrepreneur who has expanded her name to be
synonymous with much more than a wedding dress.  Award presented by Sharon
Stone.

    Ellen DeGeneres -- The comeback woman who has rocked us once again with
her new talk show. Award presented by Geraldine Layborne.

    GLAMOUR'S LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD PRESENTED TO:
    Her Majesty Queen Noor -- A peace builder who promotes cross-cultural
understanding and helps to empower women economically, politically and
socially worldwide.  Video acceptance, Award presented by GLAMOUR
Editor-in-Chief Cindi Leive.
    Presenting a special in-memoriam tribute is actress at the awards ceremony
is Julia Stiles.
    Also at the awards, there will be a special musical performance by Patti
LaBelle and The Girls Choir of Harlem.
